March 10, 2007 couldn't do it
I've had this book on my wish list for a long time, so when I got it in the mail during a chick list sweepstakes, I was overjoyed. However, when I sat down to read it, I realized that it wasn't the fluffy chick lit I was expecting. Instead, a woman who had just lost her husband was trying to figure out how to live again.
Though I am sure it is a good read and a well-done look at the subject on which it focuses, I was just not in the mood for this kind of story. So I am passing it on to a reader in Switzerland (from BookCrossing), who I hope will enjoy it more than me.
The next book I'm reading is for grad school. Specifically, for a professor I hope to meet when I visit a grad school at the end of the month. I have read excerpts of this book for a class, but not the whole thing. And if I am going to have the guts to have him sign it (I'm such a fangirl sometimes), then I probably need to read it!
